Partners

We believe that by working together with organizations of similar interests and goals we can broaden our reach, enhance our knowledge and find complementary ways to help patients become better informed and involved in the medical decision making process. Below are current partners of the Informed Medical Decisions Foundation.  If you believe your organization would benefit by working with the Foundation, we’d like to hear from you.

Health Dialog

Health Dialog

Health Dialog is a private, wholly owned subsidiary of Bupa, a global health and care company headquartered in London. Health Dialog provides population analytics, interactive decision aids and health care decision programs to over 17 million people around the world.

In collaboration with Health Dialog, we produce the Shared Decision-Making® programs to support the shared decision making process. We maintain editorial control over the clinical content of these products. Health Dialog pays royalties for the use of our intellectual property. These royalties are then used to fund research, support clinical demonstration sites and other projects that advance our mission.

Childbirth Connection

Childbirth Connection

Childbirth Connection is a non-proft organization founded in 1918 as the Maternity Center Association. Its mission is to improve the quality and value of maternity care through consumer engagement and health system transformation. The organization is respected and widely recognized among national health care leaders as a leading voice for evidence-based maternity care and maternity care quality improvement. Its landmark national Listening to Mothers survey provides unprecedented insights into the experiences and perspectives of childbearing women.

To combat maternity care disparities, engage women as partners in their care, and improve the health of women and their newborns in the United States, we have partnered with Childbirth Connection to establish the Maternity Care Shared Decision Making Initiative. This initiative will expand opportunities for shared decision making in maternity care, and further develop tools and resources to facilitate women’s informed choice.
