“The conversations are much higher-order conversations. I don't have to start with the basics. I know what they've been exposed to in the 20- or 30-minute decision aid, and they come in much more activated, much more involved, and much more empowered to make a decision. What I need to do is make sure their knowledge is accurate and to identify and help resolve any decisional conflict and make sure that the decision they made is congruent with their values. It's much easier and it saves time.”
