The Eleventh National Quality Colloquium will focus on current concerns and challenges of patient safety and quality health care in the United States. The Colloquium, the leading forum on patient safety, quality enhancement and medical error reduction, has been held on the Harvard University campus since 2000. A main focus of the 2012 Colloquium will address  patient safety issues in regards to changes in health care reform. The Colloquium offers two participation options- either traditional onsite attendance or live and archived online attendance.

During this three-day conference, attendees will participate in interactive sessions led by leaders in the patient safety and health care quality realm. Participants may also choose to take part in one of two certificate programs offered by The Colloquium.

*Michael J. Barry, president of the Informed Medical Decisions Foundation will be one of the keynote speakers at The Colloquium. He will lead a plenary session entitled: “Patient-Centered Care and Shared Decision Making” on the second day of the conference.
