"The company says the new site is a natural outgrowth of the popular shared decision making guides and videos it offers to help patients work with their doctors to make medical decisions. Those programs...are available to about 17 million patients through their health plans, employers and physicians. Health Dialog was formed in 1997 to commercialize decision-support tools developed by the Foundation for Informed Medical Decision Making based on research at Dartmouth College; the company is now owned by London-based health services company Bupa."
